About Us

Empowering Youth Through Chess. Building Minds, One Move at a Time.

Day & Knight Chess Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to transforming lives through the game of chess. We provide structured, high-quality chess education to students of all skill levels — from absolute beginners to competitive players — while creating a fun, inclusive, and growth-focused environment.

Our programs go beyond the board. Through after-school classes, mentorship workshops, community tournaments, and academy training, we use chess as a tool to build focus, confidence, resilience, and critical thinking. Every class is led by passionate instructors who care about student development both on and off the board.

Whether we’re teaching strategy, hosting tournaments, or mentoring students toward college and career goals, our mission is clear: to make a lasting impact through the power of chess.

Our coaches and mentors come from respected universities and competitive chess backgrounds — but most importantly, they care about teaching with purpose. We meet students where they are and build a space where they can grow through strategy, challenge, and play.

You want your students to succeed. We’re here to help guide them there.
